What days can I have a lesson on?
Road Skills operates 7 days a week
What times are available?
Lessons can be booked from 7:00am onwards
Last lessons finish at 7:00pm at the latest
How soon should I book?
Bookings fill up fast, so the sooner the better.
Weekends, before and after school are the most popular,
so you need to book early to get these times. However,
why not do a lesson at lunchtime or on a free period?
Can I be picked up from school or town?
As long as you let us know, we can pick you up anywhere
What should I bring to my first lesson?
Bring yourself, payment, learners permit and enclosed shoes
How many lessons will I need?
The average amount of lessons for a person starting
from scratch is approx 12 including driving at home
with parents. However, this number varies greatly from
student to student.
Most of my lesson time is spent driving
to and from home. What should I do?
We advise that students who live more than 15 minutes
outside of town book a 2 hour lesson, or meet the driving
instructor at the Dept of Transport on Wellington St
